If you don't know Sheela Lambert yet, let me introduce you. She's the national writer on the bisexuality beat for Examiner. She has fought for the inclusion of the words "bisexual" and "transgender" in many of New York City's queer institutions, including The Center, the Pride March, and the Film Festival, and she's the woman who convinced the Lambda Literary Foundation in that a category for bisexual books was sorely needed in the annual Lambda Literary Awards. However, the fight for bisexual inclusion is far from over. One of Sheela's efforts was to compile an anthology of short stories from authors all over, Best Bi Short Stories.
Cecilia Tan is a fantasy and erotica writer who has written original novels and short stories as well as fanfiction. She sat down with Minerva to talk about being introduced to the Harry Potter fan community on LiveJournal, the similarities between writing original and fan fiction, and what E. I have no idea.
