Hello, I'm Lesley Gash - I live near Winchester in Hampshire and my local dryslope is Southampton.

I have 3 children, all skiers, aged from twenties to mid teens. I am very involved in the ski scene as a whole from club level to international racing.

My involvement with ESSKIA began in 1999 when my children got a school team together. As their involvement increased, so did mine.

I have been the area rep for the Southern region for a number of years.

I now co-ordinate the national summer training program, run the Southampton qualifier and am assisting with the squads.
I'm happy to help with advice re any aspect of the sport and am not afraid of following up on areas I feel strongly about.

I live and work at Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey where I run the Exams Office and teach Chemistry.

I have headed up Ski Racing at Reed’s since it started in 2001 and I am also involved with recreational ski trips and coaching rugby for the school.

ESSkiA Senior Squad Manager

Sarah Campbell-Woodward-  ESSkiA Race Secretary

I have been teaching German and French at Abbey Gate College since 2000.

Prior to that I have taught at Weaverham High in Northwich and other schools in Frodsham and Winsford in Cheshire.
Having arrived at Abbey Gate College to take over as head of department, I started up a girls ski race team with 4 girls in year groups 7-9. We now have 7 teams of boys and girls from Infants through to 6th form.
My daughters, both now in their twenties, have both been involved in training with Esskia squads and my eldest daughter Lucy competed in the ISF races in Finland and has also worked as a trainer on a Junior Esskia squad training camp.
I am also currently still active as a registered ski racer on the dry slope.
